The Gas Canister is used to store small quantities of gasses. The "standard pressure" when spawned is defined as 8106 kPa, or 80 Earth Atmospheres. Its internal volume is 64 Litres. The maximum pressure for a canister is 10.132 MPa, or 100 atmospheres. Over-pressurizing the canister for more than 5 ticks in a row or using a Welding Torch (but not an Arc Welder) on it will cause it to take damage, eventually rupturing it and creating an explosion with a radius of 4.4 m at its maximum pressure, linearly proportional to its pressure up to a maximum explosion radius of 10 m at ~2.27x its maximum pressure. The ruptured canister can be inserted into devices afterwards but will connect to atmosphere.

Details[edit]
To fill the canister, place it into a Gas Tank Storage unit connected to a pipe network carrying gas (equalizing the pressure in the network and canister). It can also be refilled by inserting it into the striped area above of the Portable Tank.
When held in the hands or directly from the spacesuit, a canister can be opened, causing its contents to equalize with the atmosphere (or contents of a sealed room).
