Loulan has a breathable atmosphere and the temperature range is not hazardous.  It has ruined structures scattered across the terrain which can be scavenged for building supplies.  The player starts with a [[Hardsuit_Backpack|Hardsuit Backpack]], and a [[Headlamp]], but without a helmet or suit and this is not a serious handicap.  A Jetpack is not part of the starting equipment.  Battery charging is not a matter of life and death, but without batteries the headlamp will not light your way at night.
