Description

Cartridges are used in Handheld Tablets, which can carry one, and Advanced Tablets, which can carry two. Their functionality changes depending on the cartridge.

Cartridges are made in the Electronics Printer and in the Security Printer (Cartridge (Access Controller)) and the player starts will several of them in their Starting Gear.

Access Controller

The Access Control cartridge allows the user to see and change the access of manufacturing machines like the Autolathe, Doors or Area Power Controllers. By default, everything placed will have no access controls set. When one or more controls are present, the controlled object will be unavailable to any stationeer without the prerequisite Access Card. This can be crafted at the Security Printer.

Atmos Analyzer

The Atmos Analyzer cartridge inserted into a tablet gives it the ability to inspect the pipe networks, canisters, tanks, and various machines and devices, giving a player a real-time reading on internal gas pressure, volume capacity, volume of present liquids, shared temperature, and a listing of contained substances, both in gaseous or liquid states (including the phase change indicators for evaporation, condensation or freezing), their relative (percent) and absolute (molar) amount. This inspection mode also evaluates the stress value of the container or pipe network (turning orange if it reaches the level that causes permanent damage) being affected by the excess of gas pressure, condensation of gas into a liquid, or freezing of liquid into ice, which such container or network cannot handle.

When not pointing the tablet on any specific object, it instead will read the atmosphere of its immediate position, whether exterior or interior, with a similar readout.

Medical Analyzer

Scans the users organs for their health state.

eReader

The eReader provides a database of items and recipes to create. It also provides the information as to which machine is needed, power consumed to craft, and temperature/pressure required (furnace recipes). Using the scroll wheel will scroll through the items. There are a lot of items and there is not currently a search function.

GPS

This cartridge displays your current location in X,Y,Z Coordinates.

Network Analyzer

The network analyzer cartridge is used to monitor the current, potential, and actual wattage of a line. And list the connected devices on a network.

Configuration

The Configuration cartridge will read off the Data Network values within an appliance or structure.

Ore Scanner

The ore scanner cartridges are used with the Handheld Tablet to scan for minerals underground. Mineral types are not identified and output is shown as black and white.

Ore Scanner (Color)

The ore scanner cartridges are used with the Handheld Tablet to scan for minerals underground. Mineral types are displayed in different colors:

• Red = Ice (Volatiles)
• Orange = Ore (Copper)
• Yellow = Ore (Gold), Ore (Lead), Ore (Nickel)
• Magenta = Ore (Iron)
• Purple = Ore (Cobalt)
• Cyan = Ice (Nitrice), Ice (Oxite)
• Green = Ore (Uranium)
• White = Ore (Silver), Silicon, Ice (Water)
• Grey= Coal

Tracker

The tracker cartridge will enable the tablet to point the direction and provide the distance to a Beacon or a portable Tracking Beacon that is on or to another player. Using the scroll wheel will allow different targets to be selected.

Plant Analyser

The Plant Analyser cartridge provides invaluable help with Farming as it allows players to analyze the status and needs of plants using a tablet. It provides detailed information beyond what is shown by merely looking at the plant, including specific needs like light, water, and atmospheric conditions, as well as the plant's genetics. This helps to gain insights into a plant's growth efficiency and identify any potential issues like illumination stress or atmospheric problems.
